ExoVent™ Smoke Vents | Automatic Heat & Smoke Hatch

R&S Manufacturing and Sales’ ExoVent™ heat & smoke vents perform under a wide variety of conditions. Options include Daylighting, or Solid Lid designs in a standard, high snow load or high uplift configuration. The ExoVent™ Cold Storage Smoke Hatch features 6″ of insulation with a full thermal break, which is perfect for cold or freezer room environments. All UL Listed models are twin leaf. Doors open a full 90 degrees for maximum smoke, heat and fume release. Hold open arms keep the lids in the locked and open position.

Metal roof smoke vents can include a curb that fits any metal roof system including Standing Seam, R-Panel or Insulated Metal Panels. Self-flashing units are ideal for built up roofs and include a cap that accepts roofing material for a weather-tight seal. Curb mount models are also available and sized to specifications. All models come in mill, white or custom finish to match most metal roof colors.

All smoke hatches utilize automatic UL-Listed Fusible Links which operate at a preset temperature. Replacement links are low-cost, readily available and easy to install. Optional McCabe Resettable Links offer remote electronic activation when connected to a smoke or fire alarm.

Each smoke vent carries a UL 793 listing which meets nearly all local and international fire codes.
